Shazam
Formed about two years ago Shazam are dedicated to reproducing as closely as possible the sound originally made famous by The Shadows. The two performances this weekend will include instrumentals taken from each decade of the "Shadows" history.
The membership comprises:
ALAN JONES (Bass Guitar) who worked for many years touring and recording with The Shadows and Cliff Richard.
BRIAN 'Licorice' LOCKING (Bass Guitar and Harmonica) who in the early 1960s also toured and recorded with Cliff Richard and The Shadows.
IAN McCUTCHEON (Lead Guitar) the producer of the "Shadows Workout" backing track CD's.
DAVE MORE (Rhythm Guitar) a lifelong Shadows fan and founder member of Shazam.
JENS VARMLOSE (Keyboards) a highly talented multi-instrumentalist and recording artist who always plays keyboard when Shazam appear in Europe.
MARTIN VERRILL (Drums) is also a founder member of Shazam and also plays for "Legend" who dedicate their sound to the "Burns Guitar Era" of The Shadows history.
