The Sleepwalkers was founded in Helsinki, Finland in 2000. From the very beginning their musical style was instrumental guitar music and sound from the 60’s Britain. They were affected for example by The Shadows and TheVentures and many more, including a number of guitar bands from Finland. Their style can also been seen in their uniform outfit.

In 2003 Jan-Erik Saine (lead guitar), Taito Ikävalko (bass) and Mikko Lund (drums) took Mr Ben Engblom on rhythm guitar. This is The Sleepwalkers in nowdays.

All The Sleepwalkers’ members have a long musical background, and together they started from the pubs and restaurants. This grew their reputation, and their name can be seen in many guitar festival’s performer list.

The Sleepwalkers can be heard in several collections (samples). In November 2004 they published their first own album, First Round. The record was praised to the skies in Finnish magazines of the genre. There are three of their own songs (comp. J-E Saine), and you can take a bit of them here..
